This offer of Malt (1500 tons) is remarkable addressed as it is by Herman Dubler (described as an "importer"

in Trow's Directory) to Pfister who calls himself an importer of raw materials for the straw plaiting industry.

"Shall ship three hundred kilos chegicals fifty artioles listel wanted you five kilos on each" These two cables shew that Pfister embarked upon the export to the U.S.A. of chemicals which hardly come within the legitimate scope of his business.
